ABOUT microneedling

At Skin Body & Soul Med Studio, I use the Collagen P.I.N. (Percutaneous Induction Needling) because it is one of the most advanced, medical-grade microneedling devices available. This FDA-cleared device is designed to deliver precise, controlled micro-injuries to the skin, stimulating your body’s natural healing response to produce collagen & elastin—the key components of smooth, firm, youthful skin.

What makes the Collagen P.I.N. significant is its ability to treat the skin at customizable depths & high-speed precision, making it effective for a wide range of concerns including fine lines, acne scars, stretch marks, enlarged pores, texture irregularities, & overall skin tone. With its sterile, single-use needle cartridges & powerful motor, the Collagen P.I.N. allows for safer, more consistent results with minimal discomfort or downtime.

Unlike at-home rollers or non-medical devices, this professional technology offers deeper penetration & better stimulation—leading to more noticeable & longer-lasting improvements in your skin. It’s trusted by aesthetic providers nationwide for delivering predictable, professional-grade outcomes.

Microneedling with the Collagen P.I.N. (Percutaneous Induction Needling) is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment that uses a precise, automated device to create thousands of micro-injuries in the skin’s surface. These tiny, controlled channels stimulate your body’s natural wound-healing process, triggering the production of collagen & elastin—the building blocks of smooth, firm, youthful skin.

As the skin repairs itself, you’ll notice improvements in tone, texture, & overall radiance, along with a reduction in the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, stretch marks, & pigmentation. Because the micro-channels also enhance the absorption of topical serums, we often pair microneedling with medical-grade skincare or PRX Derm Perfexion to boost your results even further.

The Collagen P.I.N. is a medical-grade device with adjustable depth settings, allowing us to customize each treatment to your skin type & specific concerns. Most patients experience minimal downtime—mild redness or sensitivity that subsides within 24–72 hours—& see visible improvement after just one session, with continued results over a series of treatments.

how it works

Microneedling with the Collagen P.I.N. is a comfortable, minimally invasive treatment that typically takes about 30–45 minutes, depending on the area being treated. To begin, your skin will be cleansed & numbed with a topical anesthetic to ensure comfort throughout the procedure.

During the treatment, the Collagen P.I.N. device creates thousands of precise micro-channels in the skin using fine, sterile needles. You may feel light pressure or a slight vibration, but most patients report little to no discomfort. Immediately after treatment, your skin will appear red or flushed, similar to a mild sunburn. This usually subsides within 24–72 hours, depending on your skin’s sensitivity & the depth of the treatment.

In the days following your microneedling session, you may experience mild tightness, dryness, or flaking as your skin begins its natural repair process. It’s important to avoid makeup, sun exposure, & active skincare ingredients (like retinoids or acids) for a few days post-treatment. You’ll be given specific post-care instructions to support healing & maximize results.

Most patients notice an improvement in skin texture & radiance within the first week, with continued collagen production & visible results building over the next 4–6 weeks. For best results, a series of treatments is often recommended based on your skin goals.

FAQs

  • For optimal results, microneedling is used in conjunction with exosomes. The treatment plan starts as a 4-treatment plan. The first 3 treatments are completed 4-6 weeks apart. And the final, fourth treatment is completed at month 6. It is recommended to complete a maintenance treatment yearly or twice a year after.

  • Most patients will feeling little-to-no pain at all when using a topical numbing agent.
